Our mission

The tragic pages of the last period of Armenia's history were caused by the hostile actions of the immediate neighbors - the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) and Azerbaijan. To justify the criminal expulsion of Armenians from the historical territories of their residence through genocide and depatriation, these countries adopted a state policy of falsification.
 

Only in recent decades have many international organizations (including the European Union) and states at the state level have shown their attitude to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The question has entered a more responsible phase. If the international courts prepare the relevant materials, they will soon receive good reasons to condemn the genocide committed by Ottoman Turkey against Armenians in the early 20th century by appropriate material and territorial compensation decisions.
 

In the twentieth century, Azerbaijan continued the policy of genocide in Turkey. The mass murders of tens of thousands of Armenians in Baku in September 1918, in Shushi in March 1920, in Sumgait in 1988 and in Baku in 1990 are vivid evidence of this. Even today, the current authorities of Azerbaijan continue their anti-Armenian policy towards Armenia and Armenians, under the conditions of all the patronage of Turkey to Azerbaijan. There is no doubt that the policy of genocide against Armenians is still on the agenda of the mentioned states
 

We are convinced that only the condemnation of such a policy by the international community, the legal assessment of international courts, appropriate compensation and recognition of the crimes of these states can change the Armenian-hatred policy of the neighbors. Only in this case will the prerequisites be created for future relations in accordance with the norms of international law.
 

The purpose of the organization is to support the publication of multilingual documents of international legal importance. They will play a role in informing the world community about the historical truth, and will also help our state look prepared in international bodies
 

The purpose of the organization is also to support the organization of presentations, conferences and consultations aimed at countering information falsifications that threaten the foundations of Armenian identity, as well as their development of appropriate countermeasures.

The public organization "VAN" is ready to perform these tasks with everyone who is not indifferent to Armenian national values, historical injustice and further civilized perpetuation of Armenia, and will contribute to this sacred cause.
